The Honey Pot is an ongoing long term study of mine exclusively shot in Black and White. This is a project documenting industry. With a spotlight on quarry and mining operations within Wales and England.
My motivations for developing this project mainly stem from the fact that these industries are rapidly disappearing (if they havent been left abandoned already) and in the near future maybe completely eradicated.
Alongside this unfortunate fact another driving force for this project is the people that occupy these jobs. Mining is often a job that is passed down from generation to generation and it is apparent from the passion that these people possess for there professions that it is deeply rooted within their family trees.
The images that make up this project are from an abundance of locations all over England and Wales. With the first images taken in early 2024 spanning right the way through to the present day.
